My story
In 2017 my partner and I moved house. In our new home I had a room that was all mine and this room had a large blank wall. I decided that I wanted to put some art on that wall and I wanted that art to be something I had created. I have always loved films, animation, books, comics; pop culture in all its forms, and so this became my inspiration. I had studied art and design in college and university some years before, but I lacked confidence in my abilities. Regardless, I took this as a personal challenge and started drawing.
When I was ready I had my work printed and showed it to friends and family. I was encouraged by their response and, yes, it ended up on my wall. Because I had enjoyed the creative process and learned so much, I decided to keep drawing. Before long I was posting my work on Instagram. I eventually discovered Procreate and taught myself to use this tool, becoming a digital illustrator. Soon I was getting commissions and selling prints to customers around the world through an Etsy store that I created.
My art style has evolved over the years, along with my confidence, expertise, and knowledge of contemporary techniques. Pop culture is still my main source of artistic inspiration, but I also like to experiment and challenge myself with new styles. I am constantly drawing or planning something new and my wall is an ever-changing gallery that reflects my personality and passion.
