Grimm and Co is a Rotherham based children’s charity that supports under-resourced children with their confidence and skills around creativity and writing.

The charity had worked with the Refugee Council and children to explore “Courage”, the theme of National Refugee week. In joint sessions, children were asked to use their imagination to create “Courageous Creatures”, drawing and writing about them on fact sheets.

As a volunteer Illustrator with Grimm and Co, I brought 8 of the children’s creations to life with professional illustrations by interpreting their drawings and words. My illustrations were then be printed and displayed at a celebration event.
